Mid-week Ladies Competitions
Canterbury Tennis conduct a variety of Mid-Week Ladies Competitions for social through to competitive grades. These include outdoor competitions in the summer and both indoor and outdoor competitions in the winter. There are a variety of different formats and grades for each competition.
Entries for the competitions are through the Mid-Week Ladies captains at each Tennis Club.

Mid-Week Ladies wrap up winter
The Mid-Week Ladies winter competitions have now wrapped up with the winning teams for all five competitions taking the top spots in September. Two Ladies Doubles Tournaments were also held in September.
Mid-Week Ladies Competition
The Mid-Week Ladies winter competitions for all grades have now finished and there were some very close results at the end of the competitions as teams vied for the top spots. Winning teams were:
Monday A & B Grade - Kaiapoi
Wednesday Premier - Hagley Park
Thursday B Grade - Cashmere Cats
Friday A Grade - Cashmere C
Friday Premier - West Melton
The ladies now have a two week break during the school holidays before the summer competition kicks off. Entries for the summer competition close on Wednesday 7th October and entry forms are available at Wilding Park or on the Canterbury Tennis website. There are both Thursday and Friday competitions available this summer and entries are limited by court availability so get in quick!

Ladies Indoor Doubles Tournaments
Canterbury Tennis held two Ladies Indoor Doubles Tournaments in September. Ladies entered in pairs and played five matches over three hours. Winning teams took home prizes from Forrest Estate and a spot prize from UFitIn was won by one lucky winner at each tournament with a consolation prize from ASB. The tournament winners on 16th September were Kathy Dwyer and Linda Earney and the winners on 23rd September were Joelene Feneon and Vangi Weil.
