Welcome to our survey of your opinions on the post-earthquake recovery of a Regional Tennis Centre for Tennis Canterbury.

Tennis Canterbury is committed to listening to the opinions of our tennis community. Your opinions are valued, and critical for our understanding of what you believe is the best option for a Regional Tennis Centre.

This survey is in three easy to complete parts, with just a few questions in each part. The survey will take you just a few minutes to complete. There is also the opportunity for you to add comments.

Our aim is for your opinions in this survey to be based on a well informed knowledge of the options that Tennis Canterbury has been exploring and developing. CLICK HERE for more information on these options.

Connor Heap progresses in Turkey

Canterbury top male junior Connor Heap has made the quarter finals at an ITF event in Turkey currently ranked around 600 in the junior world rankings the points he gains here will push him close to the Top 500 – Connor won his round of 16 match comfortably and is aiming to make his second semi final appearance in his ITF Junior career should he win his next match.

Finance & Administration Manager Role

An opportunity for the role of Finance and Administration Manager has become available at Tennis Canterbury.

To perform outstandingly in this role, you’ll need to have all the experience, skills, drive and determination to succeed!

The position offers great variety and will include -

Accounts Receivable & Payable Processing
Bank Reconciliations
Preparation of monthly financial reports, including General Ledger Transactions and Trial Balance.
Assisting with special events,
Fulfilling the role of Board Secretary, which includes attending meetings and minute taking.
Preparing and filing Grant and Funding Applications for specific projects.
Day to day administration and organisational tasks.

The person we seek will have -

Excellent interpersonal skills
A positive ‘can do’ attitude, with the drive and determination to make the role their own.
Excellent time management.
A strong knowledge of Microsoft Office software packages (Word, Excel, Publisher)
Great attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of ACE Payroll (experience with processing payroll for at least 6 staff would be beneficial but not essential)
Knowledge of Attache Pro Accounting software would be an advantage, but not essential.

Salary will be commensurate with skills and experience

Nelson Bays Tennis Association is looking for a dynamic person to join their team as Tennis Co-ordinator.

This role will be 15+ hours/week.

Tennis Canterbury, Game Development Manager Appointment

Tennis Canterbury is proud to advise that Angela Mitchell has been appointed fully to the Tennis Canterbury Game Development Manager role.

As you know, Angela has been in this role in an Acting Manager capacity since Hamish Cain’s departure. In these months since, Angela has proven her ability to do the role very well. Angela will be a great success and make a strong contribution to our goal of becoming NZ’s leading tennis community.

Congratulations Angela on your new appointment!

You’ll also be aware of the recent appointment of Rob Wilkinson to the role of Tennis Canterbury Tennis Operations Manager. Rob’s role includes Competitions Management of Interclub and Tournaments.
