An exciting position is available for a qualified coach as an independent contractor to our club. This allows the appointee to develop his or her own business while meeting contractual obligations to the club.
The Marlborough Tennis Club is the largest club in the province with 300 members, a very enthusiastic committee and supportive, high profile sponsors. As a result of new committee initiatives plans are being developed for continued improvement of all aspects of the club.
Club premises are located in Pollard Park, the botanical gardens, with excellent facilities comprising 14 recently refurbished hard courts, two artificial grass courts and two pavilions. Five of the courts including the artificial grass, have floodlighting.
The coach we seek should have a deep love for tennis and the enthusiasm and interpersonal skills to make a major contribution to the development of the game in Marlborough.
The new coach can expect to take up this position early in June 2010.

Elmwood Tennis Club
Elmwood Tennis Club, Heaton Street, Merivale, Christchurch is seeking expressions of interest
for the Club's head coaching position. The successful applicant will be required to be a New Zealand
Tennis qualified coach acting as an independent contractor to our Club.
Elmwood Tennis was formed in 1925 and is located adjacent to Elmwood Park in Heaton Street.
All nine courts have recently been resurfaced in Tiger Turf. Six courts are flood lit and members play 12
months of the year. Adjacent to the courts are St Andrews College a coeducational private school with
1350 pupils, Heaton Normal Intermediate School (580) and nearby Elmwood Normal School (540)
The Club is managed by a 10 person Board and employs a Manager who is responsible for the day to day running of the club. The Club enjoys support from a number of local sponsors. With 220 senior members and 250 juniors the club has
41 junior interclub teams and both ladies and men's senior, division 1 and 2 interclub teams.
Elmwood Tennis has enjoyed considerable growth over the last three years and the coach we are seeking will need to have a genuine enthusiasm and passion for the game and a vision to accommodate the potential that exists.
